1. Incorrect or invalid information

This is the most common error reported by users while creating an IRCC application tracker account. Even after filling in the information correctly, they cannot create an account. Let's first take a look at the error:

"Incorrect or invalid information. Review and make sure it matches the information submitted on the Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] form or the Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual [IMM 5475] form. If you can’t create an account, it may be because your client’s application is not in our system yet."

This error is for applicants who are using a Representative or have a Designated Individual on the file. However, this error can be seen for all the users trying to create an account, even if they don't have a Representative or Designated Individual.

Solution:

The straightforward solution for this is to contact the representative to get the correct information to fill out the signup form. If you are sure all the information is correct or you are not using a representative, then the most likely reason for getting this error is that your file is not in the tracker system yet. The only thing you can do is wait for the BIL(Biometrics Instruction Letter) and try to create the account(based on the information we have) 24 hours after receiving the BIL.

2. No Last Name/Surname

The second most common issue applicants get into while creating an IRCC Tracker Account is that "They don't have a surname or last name" as per the legal documents. If this is the your case then fill the entire name in the last name and leave the first name field empty as it is not a required field(in the latest tracker). Make sure you put your name the same way you put it when you applied. Do not add any space after the name.

3. Middle Name

Another confusing issue with Names is the middle name. If you have a middle name, enter it within the first name field. Make sure there is only a single space between the first and middle name and no space at the end.

4. UCI

Some of the applications generate a temporary UCI after the submission. Most of the time when users try to create the application tracker account using this UCI, it does not allow and displays an error. The temporary UCI is a sign that your application is in the queue and processing has not started yet. If this is the case, the best you can do is to wait as it will change to a permanent one once the processing of your application is started. Moreover, if you have a valid UCI then enter it without hyphens(-).

5. Single Name

If your legal document has only a single name and does not mention if it is first, middle or last name or it says just "Name" or "Full Name" then check how the IRCC Prcoess name and enter the names accordingly.
